SMS via website on PC with the Android Messages app

The app provided by Google to send and receive SMS, Android messages, is receiving an important update that should lead, in the coming months, to become an app similar to Apple's iMessage, thus allowing chat between users who use the app on Android smartphones.
This first step is the ability to send and receive messages from your computer, through the new website dedicated to Android Messages, which works similarly to the Whatsapp site.
The site dedicated to Android Messages becomes an excellent way to manage SMS from the computer when we are working or browsing the internet, responding faster and also writing longer texts from the more comfortable PC keyboard.
Being a web interface, the Messages for the web site becomes accessible from any computer, be it Windows, Linux or Mac.
To send and receive SMS from your PC with Android Messages you need to visit the messages.android.com site where you can read the configuration instructions.
Just as with Whatsapp, you have to open the Google Messages app on your phone, press the button with three dots in the upper right corner and then tap the "Messages for the web" option.
This opens a QR code scanner through the camera, which will be aimed at the square code that appears on the PC screen.
By selecting the "remember this computer" option, on the Messages site page, you can access your SMS on your PC without having to repeat the login procedure.
Obviously, the site works if the phone is connected to the internet, otherwise it will not be able to connect to send and receive SMS.
The site displays all the conversations made via SMS in a sidebar and the chat selected in the main pane.
You can then read all the messages, reply and start new conversations.
The most important function is that of notifications, so that you can be notified on your PC when new messages arrive on the phone.
Android messaging via the web is supported by the latest version of the application (to be downloaded from the Google Play Store if it has never been used), but the release seems to be gradual, therefore still not available to everyone.
To check, just open the app and check if the item Messages for the web appears in the main menu, the one that appears by pressing the button with three dots.
I remember, however, that it is possible to receive and send SMS from the PC using different apps such as Pushbullet, which I personally have been using daily for years on Chrome.
As explained in the guide to receive all the notifications on the PC, Pushbullet only requires to install the app on the phone and the app on the PC or the extension for Chrome, connecting to the same account.
