- No external extensions and plugins should be installed.

2) After installing Tor Browser, open the folder where it was installed with the path TorBrowser -> Browser -> TorBrowser-> Data -> Tor and find the torcc file .
It is a text file to be opened with the Notepad (press on it with the right mouse button, go to Open with and then choose the Notepad) which contains all the connection configuration to TOR. To set the connection to exit from a specific node in a specific country (and not randomly assigned), you must edit this text file by adding two lines at the bottom:
ExitNodes {}
StrictExitNodes 1
A country identification code can be entered inside the braces after ExitNodes.
For example, {it} is Italy, while the United States is {us} and Switzerland is {ch} .
A list of all the codes for each country in the world can be found on this page.
Save the file (without changing its name and extension) and close the window.
3) Instead of the brace with the country code inside, you can also write the name of the node that you want to use for the TOR connection.
In this case it is possible to use the site TorStatus shows the whole TOR active network with the servers scattered all over the world.
Scrolling down the page (the list is very very long) you see, at the end, an option on which you have to click: " show custom / advanced query options ".
In the Advanced Search section, select in the first drop-down menu, " Country code " then, in the space below, write the code of the country whose internet connection you want to simulate.
Basically you go to filter the entire list of proxies choosing to see only those of a specific country.
The parameters that interest us are the bandwidth which gives us the speed of the server and the connection and the number of days of Uptime which indicates reliability over time.
Trying to find the best one based on these two parameters, write down the exact name of the chosen one.
This same procedure applies to finding a node to simulate connecting to the internet from other countries.
Italians abroad can therefore search for Italian nodes.
To write the name of a particular node on the torcc file, go to the TorStatus website, choose one of the servers and click on its name ( router name ).
The fingerprint appears in the details window, which is the code that interests us.
That code must be copied, without spaces and without brackets, next to ExitNodes.
