How to record videos secretly with Android

Android is a truly phenomenal operating system for smartphones, not only for its ability to be customized in a heavy way compared to how it is sold in the various Samsung, Huawei or Xiaomi smartphones, but above all for its infinite functionality. For example, you can use any Android smartphone by turning it into a hidden camera, without needing to be an expert. In this way it becomes possible to take photos or record videos secretly, without there being a signal or that some notification appears on the phone screen, in a completely hidden way.
So let's see what are the free applications to take photos and videos secretly from the camera of the Android phone, which can be used in secret from any smartphone, without being noticed by anyone.

1) Quick Video Recorder
The free Quick Video Recorder app allows you to record videos with a single touch and has an option to disable the shutter sound or start recording a video without giving any indication, even when the screen is turned off. You can easily set a timer that automatically starts recording and there is also a widget to put on the screen so you can record by tapping the hidden button on the main screen.
In terms of customizing the app, you can enable notifications at the end of a recording, make the phone vibrate at the beginning and end of a video and also disable the shutter sound to stay hidden. Other options allow you to activate the flashlight during recording, choose the orientation of the video, deactivate the audio from the recordings, activate the autofocus mode and stabilize the video.
Recorded video files can all be saved with the same name and a number that distinguishes them. Also, to hide the recorded videos, you can add a different extension to the files (the default is mp4) to hide them from the gallery.
The Quick Video Recorder on-screen widget is used to start recording with a tap on it. The icon can be customized and therefore made something different that is not attributable to the use of the camera.
2) Spy Camera OS
Spy Camera OS is an open source app that you don't download from the Gogole Play Store, but from its official website. You must therefore download the fiel APK directly from the phone by connecting it to the site www.spycameraos.com/ .
The user interface is slightly different from other apps in that it opens right on the screen. The translucent overlay of the control is a special feature of this app which has all the control options neatly aligned with a preview window. On the side there are two vertical bars that allow you to manage the size of the preview screen and the other to zoom in and out.
Thanks to the black screen option you can record videos by turning off the phone screen, so as to keep it hidden. In addition to recording videos, you can also use the mode to take multiple photos in sequence or capture a moment or choose to take a photo automatically only when a human face is recognized. Among other options, you can activate the autofocus, select the quality of the videos, record from the front and rear cameras and the delay between shots in the multiple burst mode and you can control the recording with the volume keys of the phone.
3) IPCam
This free application, called IPCam or Warden Cam, had already been seen in the guide on how to turn your smartphone into a surveillance camera . To use this application you need to connect to your Google account and an internet connection is required on your phone. At that point, you can see what is taken from the phone where the app is installed, using another smartphone. By putting a hidden phone, you can take a room and see what happens from another Android phone where the application is installed.
Among the options, there are night vision, the ability to control the camera in front or behind and take photos, zoom, record only when there is movement, an automatic power saving mode and the option to start recording at a certain time. Recorded videos can be saved on the cloud, directly in Google Drive or Dropbox.
4) Record audio only
As seen in another article, thanks to some apps, it is possible to record voice and sounds with Android. Among these applications, a very good one for secretly recording audio is Hi-Q MP3 Voice Recorder . Among the best features, there are the ability to transfer files from phone to PC via the internet and the ability to save recordings to the cloud.
