Request refunds on the Android, Apple, Microsoft App Store

Like any purchase, even that of applications and games on an online store (speaking of Google Play for Android and iTunes for iPhone and iPad) is protected with the right of withdrawal, even if in a different way.
So if you buy an app but, after trying it, it turns out that it is not needed, that it was a mistake or that it was not what you wanted, you can always ask for a refund.
Since the thing is not so immediate and so intuitive, it is good to know how these stores work and how you can ask for a refund for the apps purchased on Google Play, on the Apple App Store and also on the Windows Store for Windows Phone and Windows 10 .
1) Refund for the Google Play Store of apps for Android smartphones and tablets
The refund policy for the Google Play store is really simple and clear.
If we don't like the app you just bought, you can immediately uninstall it and then ask for a refund of the money spent.
This means that you can install any app, try it and then remove it without spending a penny.
The important thing is that a refund is required no later than 2 hours after installation.
To obtain a refund, simply open the purchased application page and press the refund button.
Automatically the app will be removed from the phone and the money will go back.
If, on the other hand, the two hours have passed, there is still a way to ask for a refund, if you have a valid reason, for example if the app turns out to be not working after a few days or if it was bought by your little son who didn't know what he was doing on the phone.
In this case, open the Google Play Store site from your PC, press the gear button at the top right and open My account .
On the page, scroll down to find the list of purchased applications.
Click on the menu with three points next to the purchase you want to cancel, click on " report a problem " and write a valid reason why you want to return the money.
It is also possible to contact the specific app developer and get refunds on in-app purchases that were made in error.
2) Refunds on the Apple App Store for purchases from iPhone and iPad
To obtain a refund for a purchase on the Apple iTunes store, you must open this Apple website web page, log in with the Apple ID and password used for purchases, scroll through the list of purchases and click on " Report and Problem ".
Give a valid reason and ask for a refund for the purchased app.
The same thing can be easily done from the iTunes app on iPHone and iPad, going to Accounts to see the purchase history and press on Report a problem .
You can then send the request from the web page that opens in Safari, by pressing on the menu and selecting the option to cancel the purchase.
Withdrawal with the Apple Store apps can be exercised within 14 days of purchase.
However, the procedure is not completely automatic because the request will be processed by an Apple employee who will decide on its legitimacy (before it was automatic, then many took advantage of it and it is no longer).
3) Refund request for Windows Store
Windows users have no option to get a refund like in the Google or Apple stores, so you have to contact Microsoft directly.
The payback time is 30 days for each paid download and the best way to contact Microsoft is by phone or chat from this page.
Microsoft support will respond immediately and there will be no need to justify yourself for making a wrong purchase, just request it politely.
